Programming Note
A short note to all this week: I do not anticipate a full post this week or next. Apologies. The demands of law school finals are real and require fulsome attention.
In lieu of a full post, I’ll just remark that I am thinking about the work “muddled” this week. Both in the idea of muddling through but also in the idea of cocktails. Initially, my thought was these were competing definitions. But upon reflection, maybe not. Just as ingredients muddled in cocktails come together, perhaps muddling through is an effort to bring things together, or at least it changes us just as the sugar cube is changed in an old fashioned when we muddle through.
